RDT is moving forward with the development of RDT Aerospace, including a new facility in Zamudio specialising in non-destructive testing and a project expected to create more than 200 skilled jobs. This commitment to industrial growth was one of the key topics we shared at the ITP Aero Supplier Forum, held on 20 October.

Growing alongside our clients means evolving with them, anticipating their needs and investing today in the capabilities they will need tomorrow. This approach to building long-term relationships has been part of RDT since the very beginning and is particularly meaningful in our collaboration with ITP Aero.

We had the opportunity to share this vision at the ITP Aero Supplier Forum, held in Zamudio. Our CEO and founder, Benjamín Rosende, took part in the panel discussion "Growing Together", alongside Carlos Orueta from BATZ Group and Gaztea Laiseca from ITP Aero.

The event provided an opportunity to reflect on how to support the growth of the aerospace industry and the role we, as suppliers, need to play: anticipating investment needs, developing new capabilities and building relationships that create value for both parties.

A new chapter with RDT Aerospace

Our relationship with ITP Aero began two decades ago, when RDT was taking its first steps as an engineering company. In fact, ITP Aero was our second client, marking the beginning of a collaboration that has evolved over the past 20 years and continues to open up new opportunities.

We are now taking another step forward with RDT Aerospace and our expansion into the industrial production of engine components, strengthening our contribution to the aerospace industry's value chain.

One of the most significant projects in this new chapter is the development of a new facility in Zamudio specialising in non-destructive testing (NDT). The facility will bring together international specialist talent, advanced technology and solutions based on artificial intelligence and image processing.

Our aim is to combine our experience in engineering and maintenance with new industrial capabilities, enabling us to deliver quality, responsiveness and efficiency improvements in highly demanding technical processes.

The project is also expected to create more than 200 skilled jobs, supporting the development of specialist talent and strengthening industrial activity in the region.

Investing today to grow tomorrow

The growth of the aerospace industry brings new opportunities, but it also requires preparation. Supporting our clients means looking beyond immediate needs and ensuring we have the resources, expertise and technology required to meet future challenges.

This was one of the central messages of the discussions at the Supplier Forum: growing together requires commitment, investment and a shared long-term vision.

At RDT, we want to continue moving in this direction, developing a model of collaboration with ITP Aero that achieves high standards of excellence and delivers benefits for both companies.

And our ambitions extend beyond our borders. Our international presence gives us the opportunity to support ITP Aero in other markets and develop a collaborative model that can be replicated across different countries, while maintaining the same standards of quality and responsiveness.

New challenges ahead

As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, looking back allows us to appreciate everything we have built alongside our clients. More importantly, it inspires us to look ahead.

Our relationship with ITP Aero is a clear example of this evolution. What began as an engineering partnership has become an opportunity to develop new capabilities, drive industrial activity and continue growing together.

After 20 years of collaboration, our commitment remains the same: to invest, evolve and build what comes next, together..

Our purpose is to help engineers enjoy engineering.
